Maximiliano Marzetti, holder of a Ph.D. in Law and Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, practiced as a lawyer in Argentina, advising companies and governments on intellectual property strategies and policies before becoming a full-time researcher and lecturer at IÉSEG.
He is a member of ICON, the IÉSEG Center of Excellence in Negotiation, and Lille Economie Management (LEM), a joint research unit (no. 9221) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). He is also a visiting professor at various universities in Latin America and Europe. His work approaches law and regulation through the lens of economic analysis, emphasizing the role of legal systems as a source of competitive and strategic advantage for firms. His research and teaching focus on intellectual property, data protection, international business law, contract management, and alternative dispute resolution.
