Position Associate Professor

Mohammed Zakriya has a Ph.D. in management sciences from Esade Business School, Spain. His research interests cover domains ranging from corporate social responsibility and sustainable investments to corporate finance and governance. His research has been published in the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Business Ethics, and European Financial Management, etc.  In his recent research projects, he has examined the importance of ESG rating agencies in capturing CSR disclosures, the measurement challenges faced when dealing with ESG data, and how these can affect SRI and ESG investment strategies. Two of his recent works, “What drives corporate ESG? Disentangling the importance of investors, managers, and firms” and “CSR Disclosures and Firm Value: Disentangling the Role of ESG Rating Providers,” were awarded the Best Paper Awards at the 31st Finance Forum of Spanish Finance Association and the 9th International Conference on Accounting and Finance (ICOAF-2024), respectively.
