Position Associate Professor

Tanja Mlinar is an Associate Professor of Operations Management. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2014 from Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium).

Her research explores how organizations and supply chains make effective decisions under uncertainty. Her recent research focuses on sustainable and green practices, inventory management, and resilience to supply disruptions. She is also a member of the Lille Economie Management (LEM) research unit (UMR CNRS 9221).

Tanja publishes peer-reviewed academic and educational articles, as well as professional publications, including The Conversation France, European Journal of Operational Research, and INFORMS Transactions on Education.

Passionate about teaching and pedagogy, she develops innovative approaches, including educational games, case studies, and simulations. In 2025, she received the IÉSEG Teaching Excellence Award for her postgraduate teaching.

Tanja also held academic management positions, serving as Head of the Operations Management Track and Head of the Operations Management Department at IÉSEG for six years.
