As a higher education and research institution, IÉSEG‘s mission is to educate young people, advance knowledge, and contribute to businesses and society. Since its founding in 1964, research has been central to the School’s core values, forming a cornerstone of its growth and academic dedication.
Therefore, we wholeheartedly support the scientific community in the United States and the international Stand Up for Science movement, which calls for mobilization this Friday, March 7th.
Scientific research and academic freedom are common goods crucial to any open, inclusive, and enlightened democracy. Upholding these principles ensures the advancement and dissemination of free and rigorous knowledge, serving progress and the public interest.
Remaining true to its vision of Empowering Changemakers for a Better Society, IÉSEG reaffirms its commitment to independent science and teaching grounded in critical thinking and openness.
We hope this mobilization will serve as a reminder of the crucial role of researchers and science in our societies.
