Position Assistant Professor

Cinthia Valle Ruiz is an Assistant Professor at IÉSEG whose research and teaching interest focus on international corporate taxation. In particular, she examines how tax incentives influence financial reporting outcomes in MNCs (multinational corporations), the role of intangible assets (trademarks and patents) in tax planning, real effects of inter-temporal income-shifting in private firms and the channel used by tax sensitive institutional investors to impose their preferences in firms in which they invest. She was previously a post-doctoral student at Bocconi University and a visiting researcher at the University of Waterloo. She received her PhD in Accounting from Complutense University of Madrid. Prior to her studies, she worked at Airbus (Madrid) as a Financial Controller.
