Copyright and cultural heritage in the digital era
Share
In this video Cristiana Sappa, Professor of Business Law, speaks about some of her recent work on copyright and cultural heritage. She has studied the 2019 EU Directive on copyright and related rights in the Digital Single Market. This directive – which is (being) transposed in the national laws – aims to favor the creation and good functioning of a digital single market via an appropriate protection of works of art.
Cristiana Sappa explains the importance of this ruling for different audiences, including museums, companies and organisations using digital reproductions (publishers, and those managing virtual reality experiences, or video games etc.)
