Recent research highlights subtle but consistent gender differences in the importance attributed to character traits in leadership. Plus, a gender bias in the assessment of these characteristics. Yet access to credit remains a key element in sustaining a company&#8217;s performance and growth, enabling it to seize investment opportunities and cope with economic ups and downs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/insights.ieseg.fr\/en\/resource-center\/female-role-models-to-reduce-self-censorship-in-access-to-credit\/\">Read More<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2>Access to credit: do laws (really) protect women around the world?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite a growing number of legal measures, discrimination against women remains omnipresent throughout the world, and more specifically in terms of access to banking services. In 2008, for example, the Bank of Ghana enacted the Borrowers and Lenders Act, designed to prohibit all forms of discrimination in the allocation of credit.
