He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Oregon (U.S.A.). His recent research examines how legal institutions, financial markets and government policies influence firms\u2019 major investment and capital-raising decisions, competitive performance, and the design of financial contracts between borrowers and lenders. He has publications in leading business and economic journals such as the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Law and Economics, Journal of Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Small Business Economics, and Journal of International Money and Finance.
