He has a Ph.D. in Business (Behavioral Science) from the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE-FGV) and has also been a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University and the Darden School of Business (University of Virginia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most of his research questions arise from two major sources: a decade of marketing industry experience and observations of intergroup dynamics in Brazil, France, and the United States. He has explored patterns of behavior among relevant understudied samples and documented cultural differences. Along with the exploration of general aspects of consumer psychology, his research identifies situations in which stigmatized individuals: are led to behaviors that may push them into conditions of vulnerability, or are the target of stereotypically biased behavior from members of majority groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jorge Jacob is also a member of\u00a0<em>Lille Economie Managemen<\/em>t (LEM), a joint research unit (no. 9221) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research\u00a0(CNRS).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":4081,"template":"","tags":[907,1469,305,346,1467,1049,1050,441,926],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.5.1 -
